We wish to assure our clients and correspondents that Kritzinger Architects is, and will, continue to operate during this period of uncertainty due to the Coronavirus. We are working remotely and are set up with all the necessary technology to continue working as normal. March 2020

Drawings have been submitted to the City of Cape Town for Local Authority approval for two villas on a vacant site in Camps Bay, Cape Town. Construction is programmed to begin mid 2020.

 

February 2020

Our new residential dwelling in Higgovale, Cape Town is nearing completion. We are collaborating with landscape designer Franchesca Watson on the garden design which will feature large granite boulders, Olive trees and an assortment of local grasses.

 

January 2020

We are delighted to have been selected to develop a concept proposal for a new residential dwelling in a leafy Cape Town suburb. Concept model and design sketches are currently underway.

 

December 2019

Building plans have been submitted to the City of Cape Town for the conversion of a single residential dwelling into a three unit apartment building in Fresnaye. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2020.

 

November 2019

Work is progressing well on our new residential dwelling in Higgovale, Cape Town.  The first floor slab has been cast and formwork is expected be stripped by the end of this month. We are can't wait to see the large 4m cantilevered slab exposed in its full glory! 

 

October 2019

Kritzinger Architects have completed the refurbishment of a beach cottage in Churchhaven, South Africa. The photograph shows the handmade rattan pendant lights and open kitchen shelving. The cottage will be photographed and published early next year. More to follow.

 

September 2019

Kritzinger Architects have been appointed to design a retreat on the banks of the Klein Rivier Lagoon near Stanford in the Western Cape. Inspired by Arthur Ransome's book "Coot Club", the project aims to build on the environmentalist theme of the book where one can re-kindle the spirit-of-adventure in all of us by enjoying the simple things in life, and where children can run free and enjoy a back-to-basics lifestyle of sailing, hiking and the general outdoors. The lifestyle retreat will comprise of five accommodation units and a communal club house set along the waters edge.

 

August 2019

Kritzinger Architects have won an invited competition to design a new double dwelling on a vacant site in Camps Bay, Cape Town. We have been formally appointed to commence work in September 2019.

 

July 2019

Kritzinger Architects are delighted to have been appointed to design a new apartment building in Fresnaye, Cape Town. 

 

June 2019

Refurbishment work at our Churchhaven beach house is progressing well. The new Larch timber ceiling structure has been installed. Walls have been stripped of plaster and the exposed brickwork painted to complement the new timber ceiling.

 

May 2019

Our first concept sketch for a new getaway project located in a nature reserve approximately two hours from Cape Town. We are delighted to have been selected as Architects for this unique development opportunity.

 

April 2019

Planning permission has been granted for the construction of a new home in Higgovale, Cape Town. Construction is due to commence next month.

 

March 2019

Our Lagoon Cottage samples ready for client approval. The project is going well and will be ready for handover in August this year.

 

February 2019

We are delighted to have been appointed to design a new beach house in Pottebakkery, a secluded fishing village located on the shores of the Langebaan Lagoon in the West Coast National Park near Cape Town

 

January 2019

The refurbishment of a Lagoon Cottage is currently underway in the historic hamlet of Churchhaven. The project is due for completion August 2019.
