Our new residential dwelling in Higgovale, Cape Town is nearing completion. We are collaborating with landscape designer Franchesca Watson on the garden design which will feature large granite boulders, Olive trees and an assortment of local grasses.

Work is progressing well on our new residential dwelling in Higgovale, Cape Town. The first floor slab has been cast and formwork is expected be stripped by the end of this month. We are can't wait to see the large 4m cantilevered slab exposed in its full glory!

Kritzinger Architects have been appointed to design a retreat on the banks of the Klein Rivier Lagoon near Stanford in the Western Cape. Inspired by Arthur Ransome's book "Coot Club", the project aims to build on the environmentalist theme of the book where one can re-kindle the spirit-of-adventure in all of us by enjoying the simple things in life, and where children can run free and enjoy a back-to-basics lifestyle of sailing, hiking and the general outdoors. The lifestyle retreat will comprise of five accommodation units and a communal club house set along the waters edge.

Refurbishment work at our Churchhaven beach house is progressing well. The new Larch timber ceiling structure has been installed. Walls have been stripped of plaster and the exposed brickwork painted to complement the new timber ceiling.

Our new Lake House project is taking shape in the office. We are in the process of preparing detail design drawings and aim to go out to tender later this year. The three bedroom "pavilion" building is set on the edge of a lake in the Franschhoek Valley and is designed to be as transparent as possible to encapsulate the magnificent views.

Groundwork has been prepared for the construction of a three bedroom "Lake House" on a wine farm in Franschhoek. The site is located on the edge of a lake and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The villa will be constructed of natural stone and timber which has been collected on the farm for building purposes.

The site is located within the West Coast National Park along the on the edge of the Langebaan Lagoon. The new dwelling will be designed in accordance with Provincial Policy documents in order to preserve the sense of place and distinctive character of the local vernacular.
Construction of La Grange Cottage in the Cape Wineland's town of Franschhoek is complete. The client has moved in and is absolutely delighted with the outcome of his new home!
