Constantia Home

Kritzinger Architects have completed a new five bedroom family home in a private estate bordering Tokai Forest, Cape Town. The North facing property offers spectacular long distance mountain views and attractive short distance views overlooking ToKai Forest. The home is designed as a contemporary farmhouse comprising of a collection of building elements strategically placed and interconnected to maximise views while at the same time offering privacy, natural light and protection from the elements. The fragmented building elements are a nod to some of the  historic wine farms in the area. A limited pallet of natural materials, colours and textures compliment the architecture, creating a warm and comfortable living environment.  The self sustaining home is able to function independently off grid with orchards, vegetable gardens and eco pool adding another layer to the family's wish for a sustainable lifestyle.
