Paternoster

Kritzinger Architects have completed a 150m2 beachfront cottage in the historic fishing village of Paternoster. Located on the West Coast of South Africa, the design conforms to stringent design guidelines and is in keeping with the simplicity of the local fisherman vernacular, where elements such as 'bakoond' fireplaces, flat roofs and rough plastered walls are celebrated. The beach cottage comprises of three bedrooms and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area which leads out onto a large latte covered stoep facing the ocean.
