Award-winning Cape Town architects Jed Kritzinger and Julia Abell founded the practice in 2010 following a decade working with renowned British architect Norman Foster on a number of high-profile projects in London. In 2005 Jed was invited back to design the new Cape Town Airport in preparation for the 2010 World Cup. Since inception, Kritzinger Architects has gained a reputation for design excellence, having won “Best Residence Africa” at the 2012 International Property Awards and shortlisted for “World’s Best” the same year. In 2015 the practice was shortlisted for a Cape Institute for Architecture Award. The firm has recently completed Sir Richard Branson’s Manor House in the Cape Winelands following the upgrade of his Hotel and Spa on the estate last year.
